ffmpeg is swiss army knife - it has lots of functionality you'll never use and so it can take up a lot of memory. It uses the same libraries as faad - so audio output will be identical. Any reformatting of bytes may take a little more processing. The "niggle" I have is that LMS might somewhere truncate to 16 bits for PCM but it will be clearer when the difference between playing the same file in flac and alac in PCM is understood. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=102059 _______________________________________________ Squeezecenter mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
