slartibartfast & SlimChances >>> DOH! I have an abject apology to make: I hadn't acutally turned on the MusicIP plugin. :(
I'd misunderstood (or misremembered) the default setting 'Don't Use MusicIP' as meaning don't use it for title & genre information. I've just clocked that that's actually the first of three items on the pull-down, and not a default with the meaning I'd assumed. And I now realise, with great embarrassment, that I should have selected 'Only use mixable status from MusicIP'. I've done this, and, after a scan that has imported the MIP information, I can now create mixes in LMS. I am really grateful for your patient and generous efforts to help me, and I'm really, really sorry to have wasted your time with a wild goose chase resulting from my own stupidity. slartibartfast >>> I hope you'll let me prevail on your patience a little bit longer with a question about something you said... slartibartfast wrote: > Are you archiving the musicIP fingerprint into your music files? Are you using the MIP GUI for the analysis? And if I could get that running under WINE, could I use it to archive the fingerprints to the music files? Or do you know of some other effective way I could do the archiving? (I do worry about losing the MIP database, though I do keep backups. But it seems a bit safer to have the fingerprints archived in the music files.) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Diana's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=7463 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109255 _______________________________________________ Squeezecenter mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
