Nope - this is support forum so attached files is very normal as there is a size limit on a post - although I'm not sure how that works when using the mail lists. For log files it is best to just copy and zip the log file and then attach. There are alternative to exchange short lived files such as pastebin. I'll work through the rest of your post later.
