Hi all,

Last year I build a DIY audio streamer based on raspberry pi and LMS
(logitech media server)/squeezeplayer.

The streamer works fine and sounds really good. However there is one big
problem that I never managed to solve: a loud digital click/pop when
changing from for instance playing a flac file to playing spotify
content.

The pops are really loud since I use a power amplifier and digital
volume control on the streamer itself. There are no digital pops/clicks
when changing from local (flac file) audio track since auto(software)
mute in alsa works fine then.

The real issue here in my opinion is that there is no mute signal
available (I am using the Allo Kali I2S reclocker to feed my DAC) to
mute the AK4396 DAC to mute the dac when there is no "signal" so I
wondered if this can be prevented in software by for instance zending
all zero's when switching between plugins?
