Hi all, As I noted in another thread, Debian/Testing now includes perl 5.28 and there's no pre-built slimserver-vendor CPAN bits bundled for 5.28 yet. And yes I'm the remaining weirdo running i386 on a x86 CPU so if the plan is to continue tracking perl package updates in the nightly builds can that be added? (@Michael?)
Secondly one to note for others with long-standing Debian builds. A very weird symptom I had after the update to 7.9.2 left me with no functioning plugins. This, I tracked down to a whole bunch of files sitting in /usr/share/perl5/Slim mainly in the Plugins folders that had been renamed to *.dpkg-new or *.dpkg-tmp. Rename all the files and bingo, everything works again. I found a few other posts on the forum with no resolution (other than "clean reinstall") so I'm posting this here for future benefit. And finally since the latest update (from 7.9.1 to 7.9.2 nightly build) the only remaining issues I seem to have are there's no content visible in the UPnP server, but the most annoying one is that every time Trackstat does the following, the entire LMS server locks up solid for the duration. NOTHING can happen while this is running. Anyone else seen this? [19-05-13 08:20:17.7103] Plugins::TrackStat::Storage::refreshTracks (1242) TrackStat: Synchronizing TrackStat data, please wait... [19-05-13 08:26:25.3877] Plugins::TrackStat::Storage::refreshTracks (1891) TrackStat: Synchronizing TrackStat data finished This happens after each rescan too from what I can see in the logs. Quite annoying. -- Hardware: 3x Touch, 1x Radio, 2x Receivers, 1 HP Microserver NAS with Debian+LMS 7.9.0 Music: ~1300 CDs, as 450 GB of 16/44k FLACs.
