The following are the official Logitech instructions on how to install
LMS on Windows 7:

Windows 7 / XP / Vista

To install Logitech Media Server:

Get the latest version of Logitech Media Server from the Downloads
page.

Run the downloaded file and follow the onscreen instructions.

In the final window, click Finish. The Logitech Media Server Control
Panel will appear.

Next, you'll need to configure Logitech Media Server to find your media
and sync to your MySqueezebox.Com account.

In the Logitech Media Server Control Panel, click the Library tab.
Here, you can:
Change your media folder locations. Your Windows Music, Videos,
and Pictures folders will be entered here initially.
Set your Playlist folder location.
Opt to Use iTunes by selecting this check box. This means
Logitech Media Server will create your music database from your iTunes
database.

On the Account tab, you can enter your MySqueezebox.Com credentials.
This way, you can access any music-service-based Apps you've subscribed
to from Logitech Media Server. If you don't already have a
MySqueezebox.Com account, go to www.mysqueezebox.com/user/signup to
create one.

Click Apply to confirm the settings, and then OK to close the
Control Panel.

NOTE: Squeezebox players only support music streaming. Music, video, and
picture content can be accessed through Logitech Revue.

My sole interest with LMS is so that the PiCorePlayer on my Raspberry
works, using my PC as server. pCP only seems to accept LMS, it can't
find the media directories by itself, which I would prefer

When I tried to install LMS following those instructions I run into that
error window I showed.

My question is in the right place. This is a forum for Logitech Media
Server, as written above, and on the large title much above it says
"Logitech Squuezebox".

My question is related to PiCorePlayer, LMS and Squeezebox, as the three
work together. What I want is someone's help, not to try to send me
elsewhere as my question does not belong here. It does.
