In my case, on the default skin I couldn't click through on genre's and
get the list of actual files with the genre tags.  With the material
skin I could identify the files and correct them.  This may not help
you, my apologies, after re-reading your original post.  If you are
looking for the location of playlist files that are showing up, have
have no content, it may help.

If you have cue files this post #4 explains the TWO settings to adjust
to ignore them -

If you want to keep the CUE sheets, just go to Settings > Advanced >
File Types and enter "cue" (without quotes) under both "Disabled Audio
File Extensions" and "Disabled Playlist File Extensions". You'll
probably then have to run a full library scan to see the effects this
change-
