That's what you believe it should be. But it is not, really.
-if you have not scanned your database, you are not able to browse through the music-folders
As soon as you define a music folder, LMS would scan it anyway. So you're hardly ever without a scan. But it really doesn't matter, as it's all a question of how this is implemented. And in its current form BMF is implemented not to read from the database.
