Dear Michael,

yes, i was surprised by myself that is is working so uncomplicated and
really fast. I was thinking for a long time, if a Pi4 would better fit
my requirement because of the more powerful hardware and other
enhancemets. But this is only one side of the medal.
As you know, the Pi4 has some fundamental "heating-Problems". Currently,
i have not found any solution, if a Dac (i use an Allo Boss) sits on top
of the Pi, together in a nice and small case. I have heard that the Pi4
reduces now its performance, if temperature reaches a significant point,
but all in all i found it suspect.
I first assigned the USB-HD for the cache, but i tried out yousing the
SD-card itselv and i have the feeling that this is faster and that USB2
is a bottleneck in this case.
Yes i set the database memory to "maximum" and set "-16 High" for the
Server Priority as well as for the Scanner Priority. It works well. i
have also assembled anothe Pi3 for my brother with the same settings. He
is also using a really big library.
After a trial time i had never any problems, because "piCorePlayers"
administration is nearly as perfect as possible.
