How would I find out exactly what the user is that runs LMS? I just don't understand what you mean by "it's whatever user you run it is." I didn't specify a user when install.
In that case it would be the anonymous "SERVICE" user - which doesn't have access to network shares etc. You have to define a user in the LMS control panel.
