I also start LMS under my user account, but from what I gather this is not necessary. You might try it though. Search here for other ideas. People have had success doing a thorough delete/reinstall of LMS, or deleting their .prefs and letting LMS rebuild. If you post a log, that may help someone diagnose the issue.
