I read on an old Wiki that for the Windows version of LMS most of the Perl is not used. Is that still correct ?
Can you give verbatim quote? Or a link? Because what you "quote" doesn't make sense.
In case I would like to change something to the LMS (Linux) is there are suggested development setup (IDE, Perl version, prerequisites ) ?
If you're on Linux then you should be fine. No need to deal with the Windows specifics.
Perl version: whatever you have should likely just work (unless you're on a i386 linux).
IDE: I personally am using VS Code with a Perl plugin. But as there's no debugger which would run with LMS anyway, you could as well just use vi, Emacs, or whatever your preferred IDE is.
