Yes, they are indeed on a NAS in the basement. It's on the same network
segment as the laptop I use in my home office to do a lot of my work and
we have CAT6 cabling, so 1Gb per second over the network is achievable
depending on what else is going on. 

Interestingly, some of the MP3 files failed in one tool checking, but
other files failed in the other. I have not made much progress on this
for now as I'm not sure I have any artists with the same problem. In the
interim I'm jammed on actually producing content for my website
ctproduced.com and mixes for mixcloud to go with it. I'm also bogged
down trying to use the new WordPress block editor....
