Yes, Spotify Connect solves one part of the problem. But my wife's requirements are more tricky than that. She want not just Spotify, with its normal interface, but also direct or saved radio streams, podcasts etcetera just as it is on the phone, ipad or computer. That's why I would have liked Airplay working.
Then, I could have used my LMS, and my wife Airplay. And we could live happily together with only one multiroom system. Maybe I should do the other way around: Buy a bunch of Airplay 2 devices, sync them and play directly to them from my LMS (I have only tested Airplay 1 devices -- but then there will be no sync)?
