I came across the suggestion that, to minimize wear on the u-SD card that LMS is installed on, I should move the LMS cache to the HDD that's mounted on the Pi.
I've been using my SD card for three or four years without a hiccup. I wouldn't bother too much. BUT I'm using pCP, rather than a "full" distro.
