This thread triggered my memory of a question I have been meaning to
ask. I currently am running PcP 6.1 with external HDD, and have always
"moved prefs and cache" to HDD because the how-to's told me to.

We have frequent power failures. When I was running PcP 4.1 (switched to
6.1 only recently), power failures resulted in the relationship between
the PcP/LMS and the HDD, and my only recovery was to rebuild LMS from
scratch, rescan, choose plugings again, restablish LMS/Player settings,
etc. The only smart thing I did was to backup a copy of my
favorites.opml file, that I just copied back.

I remember Michael mentioning before, when moving from Windows to PcP (I
think) that there was really no good way to port LMS settings, plugin
setting, etc, just favorites(Michael, forgive me if this memory is
incorrect).

My question is this. If I were to leave the prefs and cache on the SD
card, and make an image of the card, would I essentially be backing up
everything? Or, if I move the prefs and cache to the HDD, can I just
backup the "slimserver" folder?

Jim
