I am doing it now to try to isolate this issue. As I write my Touch has been playing for 3.5 hours with no issue. With one playlist including Spotify tracks the issue occurred after the first track. From the limited testing so far it seems to happen more quickly if Spotify tracks are included but it could just be coincidence. I was hoping that the overnight playlist of albums would be issue free which would have supported my Spotify theory but it wasn't to be.
