It sounds like you have uncovered a buggette but pardon me if Im being thick but why is it necessary to disable DSTM entirely to achieve the objective.
If DSTM is set to local tracks only surely thats pretty much the same as a never ending random play limited to a couple of genres? I was the one who originally asked for the Random Seeds feature which was in my request explicitly to work WITH LastMix/DSTM as a sort of genre based radio.
