Secondary question is: can Squeezelite route the streamed audio channels to the right channels on a connected multi-channel hardware interface?
I've googled and search the forums on this one but haven't found an unequivocal answer. Applications for streaming 3 or more channels would be a digital crossover for speakers or multiple channels for surround sound. To be specific, I want to create a digital crossover for a simple 2 main + 1 subwoofer system using brutefir on an LMS 7.9.4 server to highpass left and right and lowpass the sum of left and right, then stream those 3 channels to a Raspberry Pi 4 running PiCorePlayer 6.1. The multi-channel hardware on the squeezelite end might be something a USB interface like a Motu M4, an Okto 8 channel DAC, or even an AVR connected via HDMI. I don't have the multiple-channel hardware yet, otherwise I'd just try it.
