It may do, but for full LMS functionality, LMS depends on a number of
libraries such as IO::Socket:SSL usually to be about 2.06 or higher and
OpenSSL to be version at least 1.1 

Also https handling within LMS has a lot of recent bug fixes so latest
8.0.0 (or at least latest 7.9.4) -  anything less and you may get
strange problem when using LMS (e.g.timeouts, lockups, dropped stations
). 

So many users in last few weeks , reports strange issues seemingly not
https related but which go away once their system has been updated. 
Staying up to date can save time providing support.
