I turned off the automatic scanning for Spotify when it became apparent
that these scans sometimes removed all of my integrated Spotify albums.
I guess this was caused by intermittent connection problems.

Yeah, the recent issues with 429s could have caused this. I've never experienced it myself, though. I should probably make the integration depending on whether there's a custom client ID or not.
