I added the arch command as noted and was able to start LMS, add media folders, and use my Boom players!
Excellent! Now I'll have to find a way to define when that should be added and when not. Would you mind sharing the output of the following command with me?
/usr/sbin/system_profiler SPSoftwareDataType SPHardwareDataType
Still getting "Problem: can't open file" messages for some songs, but this is a big step in the right direction!
as azakkerman mentioned that's likely due to some missing transcoding helper. What file format would that be?
