So the issue I am running into now is that sox is compiled for i386 and
not x86_64 (possibly other binaries as well) and macOS 11 no longer
Hmm... it's there for x86_64:
Bin/darwin-x86_64/sox: Mach-O 64-bit executable x86_64
But maybe the search path is wrong. Please run slimserver.pl with
"--debug os.paths". That should give you a list of folders it tries to
add to the search path.
