I had zero issues when I was running on a Win10 machine. It just worked. But I now prefer a rPi4B, with attached USB drive, running piCorePlayer. Entire setup is smaller than a paperback book, can be located next to your router, and run 24/7 with essentially zero intervention. I set one up for my brother a year ago (rPi3B+) and he's had zero issues....uses it daily and I'm not sure he even realizes where it is (in a cabinet attached to his router).
See: https://docs.picoreplayer.org/how-to/ I know nothing about Linux, etc. But I can follow specific instructions. From start to finish with the rPi, I'm up and running in 30 minutes or less. *Home:* VBA2.5 4TB -or- rPi4B/pCP6.1/4TB>LMS 8.0.x>Transporter, Touch, Boom, Radio (all ethernet) *Cottage:* rPi4B/pCP6.1/4TB>LMS 8.0.x>Touch>Benchmark DAC I, Boom, Radio w/Battery (Radio WIFI) *Office:* Win10(64)>foobar2000 *The Wild: *rPi3B+/pCP4.0, hifiberry Dac+Pro, 4TB USB (LMS & Squeezelite) *Controllers:* iPhone11 & iPadAir3 (iPeng), CONTROLLER, Material Skin, or SqueezePlay 7.8 on Win10(64) *Files:* -Ripping-: dbpoweramp > FLAC; -Post-rip-: mp3tag, PerfectTunes, TuneFusion; -Streaming:- Spotify ------------------------------------------------------------------------ garym's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17325 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113492 _______________________________________________ Squeezecenter mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
