I agree with the approach. And I'm one of those users who always has
both an older version and a new version available, just in case. But for
example, my brother, who knows nothing about how any of this works,
stays on old version *until* I change it for him (and I only visit him
at most twice a year in a different State).  So he's never on the
cutting edge.  I think LMS has both kinds of users and lots in between.
