I think the current approach is right.  Frequent release give users
access to new features as soon as they are stable, some users just don't
like installing "nightlies".   

Users know there is no "test dept" and also that internet services are
changing rapidly and adding features/uodates to LMS has to proceed at
that pace or else it could become irrelevant to users. 

In a year of Covid, the pace of release was fast - 7.9.2 was released
Jan 2020 followed by 7.9.3. (& 7.9.4), 8.0 and now 8.1.  Bugs are bound
to be in a new release - think about Windows release problems. Eager
users accept that there'll be bugs but also they'll be fixed quickly.
Cautious users just wait for a few weeks after a release just like they
do for an OS or any "critical" piece of s/w.
