My SB1 has been lying idle for some time after I migrated my server from
CentOS to Debian.
The remote is long dead, but I had been using an old iphone 4 with the
app as my controller.

Yesterday I installed LMS 8.1 - my SB1 says "can't find server".

I can run softsqueeze on a windows PC OK, so the server is working.

I inserted specific firewall rules so I can count the number of
broadcasts from my SB1 IP address on UDP port 3843 and they are being
accepted by the firewall but the server is not responding.

I have enabled cmd line option "--diag" but I just get a bunch of perl
warnings mainly about "Use of uninitialized value in concatenation..."

Any suggestions? or just go back to an earlier version?
