I have the same issue on MacOS 10.13 and the latest 8.0.
Did you ever find the cure? I'm seeing the same error on my Mac, works
fine on my MacBook though.
On older macOS versions you'll need to update IO::Socket::SSL. See

Check Settings/Information for the IO::Socket::SSL version reported. If
it's not 2.067 or more recent you should give that a try.
