I am currently running the stable release of 8.1.1:
Logitech Media Server Version: 8.1.1 - 1610364019 @ Thu Jan 14 06:22:21
CET 2021

This was installed on my (ubuntu 20.04) machine over top a stable 8.1,
which was installed over top a nightly version of 7.9.x from a while
ago. To install these, I just downloaded the deb package and ran dkpg
-i <lms.deb file>.

Two oddities I am trying to figure out:

1. If I go to LMS Settings-Software Updates and check for updates, it
oddly suggests that there is a new 8.1.1 version:
*-A new version of Logitech Media Server is available (8.1.1). Click
here to download.-*

and the "click here" actually downloads 8.1.2
(-logitechmediaserver_8.1.2_1611497551_amd64.deb-)

Do I need to do something to tell LMS I want to be on the stable track
and not the nightly track, given my mixed history above? Also odd with
the suggestion of downloading 8.1.1 (which I am running) and actually
linking to 8.1.2.

2. Less important, but I can't remember when last I saw a message saying
there was a server s/w upgrade on the main LMS screen despite my
settings to check daily.

Thanks for any clues on either of these.
