Good detective work! I am indeed with their latest modem/router the Home
Hub 3000 (aka Sagemcom FASTFast 5566 which appears to be custom made for
Bell Canada)

I was able to get it working without DMZ as the AirPort Extreme does the
PPPoE dialing (though its PPPoE performance is poor). Is the method you
describe better?

All I had to do was to made IPv6 "link local only" and it kept the
HH3000 from constantly crashing. What a piece of garbage.
