I would like you to help me for Synology to support new LMS 8.x. Last week, I was talking to Synology support about upgrading LMS to version 8.x. They told me they will not update LMS versions from Jun 30th 2020. The LMS package was in EOL (End Of Line) phase 2 state. Support people told me there were no updates/upgrades for this. package. I told them this was not true from last December. In last December LMS was upgraded to new 8.x version.
Unfortunatel Synology hadn't updated their package for years. The updates you saw were contributed by community memeber pinkdot, and they were based on Synology's package. Now that Synology has removed the package from their offering, it has become "impossible" for pinkdot to continue to provide updated packages.
I believe Synology announced the end of LMS more than a year ago. If they haven't changed their mind by now, I doubt they will. I tried to reach out to them to discuss packaging LMS years ago (long before the announced end), but they showed no interest.
