I imagine Synology support people are the same as customer support
everywhere else. All they can do is copy and paste an answer (any
answer, not necessarily the question you asked) and hope for the best. I
once managed to obtain a replacement pair of laces for a pair of deck
shoes through customer support but they had no idea how to remove the
old ones or how to fit the new ones even after seeing photos of the
shoes they produced.
