Thanks for the info & advice.
That's interesting.  My system started on a rPi (model A I think) but I
was advised to move to Odroid for more power on the server.  I still
have a couple of old rPis running Squeezelite as players & they have
been very reliable.
I've flicked through the links you gave & it all seems fairly
straightforward, even for me!
It appears that my Odroid could be the problem as it's s/w has become
obsolete whereas the Pi has become more powerful & is still supported by
LMS.  I hope I'm reading that right.
I perhaps have nothing much to lose to continue to carry on with the
Odroid for now & then u/g to rPi4 when forced to.
