This may be a function of your tags. Many tags can hold multiple values. I use mostly FLAC files. For example, consider this example: ALBUM: Two Men With the Blues ARTIST: Willie Nelson ARTIST: Wynton Marsalis This album shows up in LMS under BOTH the artists Willie Nelson and Wynton Marsalis. When ripping this with dbpoweramp, I created the multivalue artist tag by putting this in the artist tag content: Willie Nelson; Wynton Marsalis If I was editing the file tags using mp3tag, I would enter the artist tag content as: Willie Nelson\\Wynton Marsalis Both of the above items are simply producing multiple ARTIST tags in the FLAC file. And if one examines the tags of the songs on this album, one would see two ARTIST tags, one for each artist. I do NOT have an ALBUM ARTIST tag for this album. But ALBUM ARTIST seems to matter. For example: ALBUM: Willie & The Wheel ARTIST: Willie Nelson ARTIST: Asleep at the Wheel ALBUM ARTIST: Willie Nelson This album shows up ONLY under Willie Nelson in LMS, when browsing via the "ALBUM ARTIST" menu. However, if I instead browse under the My Music > All Artists menu item, it shows up under both artists, Willie Nelson and Asleep at the Wheel. Recall what I pointed out earlier about this. > I recall that this is the way LMS has always worked when one has an > artist on a compilation that doesn't otherwise have another album in > your library where they are the main artist. And this has nothing to do with the compilations options you're changing. *Home:* Pi4B-8GB/pCP8.x/4TB>LMS 8.2.x>Transporter, Touch, Boom, Radio (all ethernet) *Cottage:* rPi4B-4GB/pCP8.x/4TB>LMS 8.2.x>Touch>Benchmark DAC I, Boom, Radio w/Battery (Radio WIFI) *Office:* Win10(64)>foobar2000 *The Wild: *rPi3B+/pCP7.x/4TB>LMS 8.1.x>hifiberry Dac+Pro (LMS & Squeezelite) *Controllers:* iPhone11 & iPadAir3 (iPeng), CONTROLLER, Material Skin, or SqueezePlay 7.8 on Win10(64) *Files:* -Ripping-: dBpoweramp > FLAC; -Post-rip-: mp3tag, PerfectTunes, TuneFusion; -Streaming:- Spotify ------------------------------------------------------------------------ garym's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17325 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115129 _______________________________________________ Squeezecenter mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
