The first CUE related changes made around Oct2020 and then there was a number of follow-ups as the initial chage broek some CUE files. IIRC The basic issue was that LMS was managing (somehow through a series of bugs) to play incompatible CUE files and the Oct-Dec2020 changes were made so that LMS was more strict in checking CUE file format and so ignores incompatible CUE files. I suggest post a sample problem CUE file (not the audio file) and problem M3U file so they can be checked.
