OK. I'll try to be clear.
I have installed the latest Raspberry Pi OS on my Pi4.
I installed LMS (the latest - this morning GMT) only on the system. I
don't use PiCorePlayer, it caused me grief in the past.
LMS installed perfectly OK, and when I used the link to the server (Port
9000), the server web page appeared.
It prompted me for my my squeezebox login, which I entered,
the next screen was the page for the path to the music files.
When I clicked on the 'browse' button, the hierarchical folder browser
appeared.
However, when I clicked on the 'media' folder nothing was there.
Then I realised that I hadn't symbolically linked my music folder on the
USB drive. So I created a symbolic link from the USB drive in my
/home/pi/Music folder.
I can see the link, I can browse the link, I can see all the FLAC files
there.
However, when I try to find the folder from the LMS server settings
page, it doesn't see it!

As far as I can tell the folder permissions allow anyone to
read/write/delete/execute the folders/files.

I am by no means a Linux expert, but I do know my way around Linux,
having developed software on Linux platforms previously.

What I want to know is my LMS doesn't see the folder, even though it is
there and easily accessed from the terminal and the folder window.

Thanks,
Alan.
