I use the uPNP/DLNA bridge with a couple of different endpoints. It works pretty well (including artwork display, native player controls and LMS controls), but it is perhaps slightly flakier than using a native player. There are a lot of settings to play with which might improve matters, but any issues are still rare enough that I haven't bothered. ReplayGain doesn't work though, if that's important to you.
