Unfortunately it will not give you a good idea. Ive seen decent UPnP stacks on cheap players and outrageously expensive devices with very crappy stacks - it does not correlate well. The problem of UPnP is that the standard is not great although its acceptable but what kills it is the lack of proper interoperability and validation tests. So you end up with crappy SW created by monkeys (and there a lot of these in sw, they are just randomly typing on keyboards hoping for something to happen). The extra difficulty is that the bridge is a bridge so I dont control either end. When you just build a control point, you can fix a few parameters, that make things much easier (like decide you only send pcm/wav). But for example, some stack cant understand that what they are being served is not a file, which cannot be accessed randomly. Usually Im trying to help as many people as I can to make their device work but sometimes its just impossible without making a custom version which I cant do. Ive added a great deal of flexibility, parameters and operational modes in this bridge which unfortunately explain why you have so many parameters but sometimes its just not enough.
