What do you consider "hang"? Run from the command line, it should remain there, and you would have to hit ctrl-C to stop the task. That's expected (and that seems to be what happened in your log file).
Please check the activity monitor: I see you are using TrackStat and some other 3rd party plugins: TrackStat is known to take some time to update its tables. Maybe LMS just needs longer to start than what you expected? Is the LMS task using a lot of CPU? Or is it really hanging?
