Hi, I'm new to this forum but have been using LMS for over a dozen years now and there is one thing that has been a niggle for all that time: lack of sensible handling of case sensitivity.
To a large extent it is my own fault for using all lower case for some directories in the first place, but.... The difficulty is that if I rename the david bowie directory to David Bowie The server sees the new directory but doesn't see anything underneath. Changing the name back makes everything reappear. I imagine this is because of the brain-damaged approach to case that MS Windows takes - i.e. I can name a file Abc, but then I can't have another called abc and any combination of upper and lower case will match the Abc file. Perhaps I should point out that I've been using linux since 1993. But is there some option (I've never found it on the settings page) to turn on case sensitivity? Does anyone else find this annoying, or am I the only one? ------------------------------------------------------------------------ dgrb's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=72557 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115922 _______________________________________________ Squeezecenter mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
