It all now appears to be working. I think the main issue was with me not being accurate enough with the name of the HDD I was mounting. Also, Samba wasn't installed so that didn't help either. Many thanks to those who have helped me, especially KIDSTYPIKE (the new server works great, thanks) & REDRUM for the patient advice. I just have a little stuttering on playback to deal with (being addressed on a new thread) & fingers crossed it all appears to be well. Cheers Paul ;)
