but I can ping the outside world from the server. If I ssh to the machine where LMS is, I can pint to mysqueezebox.com and it resolves and pings back. I can also stream radio channels from the web. I also can get weather forecast from the weather plugins, and get stock or sports results in superDateTime I have tried restarting the LMS and the whole machine, I have also tried rebooting the players, both the player and server, I tried to play with config and restarted the player and the server and both. I do not believe the problem is a generalized network issue, but may be wrong. If the issue is with mesqueezebox.com, I may be able to not use it.
