I am experiencing some inconsistent results with the new Rhapsody service. Sometimes the service works flawlessly--I am able to play entire albums without a hitch. But other times, I am experiencing inconsistent behavior. Sometimes it will stop in the middle of a track and skip back to the start of the song. Other times it will stop in the middle of a track and simply skip to the next in que. I have also experienced starting a playlist and having the first song appear in the now-playing window, but simply failing to start. It will stay that way indefinitely. Sometimes hitting play will cause it to buffer, other times it has no effect.
I stream to the player via wireless on a Linksys Wireless G router, and I am experiencing no issues at all with Slimserver streaming WMA lossless. No delays/distortions or drop outs. I thought there might be an Internet issue, however my speed is testing at 1.3 MB downstream, and I am not experiencing any issues with browsing web-pages or any other indication that there is a problem. I have aDSL, and the connection from the DSL modem to the router is Ethernet. Has anyone else noticed similar behavior? Any suggestions to check or troubleshoot? I really like the idea of the service and what is available, but I need to get it stable to make it worth the monthly fee. Any help/suggestions appreciated.
