I'm in Canada, so like you I'm blocked out of both Rhapsody and Pandora. When these were first introduced, there were no such restrictions but I'm awfully glad I was suspicious something like this would come along so I didn't take advantage of the free trial offers and get hooked only to be cut off later.
It's too bad, and since the market here is so much smaller, there's no real incentive to ever get Rhapsody or Pandora working in Canada.
