I'm using a new SB3 also. I'm running server 6.5, but theoretically this shouldn't matter for this test. I'm also using the released SN (not the beta). I have tried streaming using RTSP with a program I built using the Live555 software and that didn't work. I'm still unclear about what streaming protocols the SB can accept natively. I'm sure the answer is out there...I'm continuing to look through the forums. What I would like see is a table like this: Compression__None(wav)__MP3__AAC__FLAC Protocol http___________N________N_____N_____N rtsp___________X________S_____X_____X mms __________N________N_____N_____N rtp/rtcp________X________X_____X_____X rtp____________X________X_____X_____X N - Natively supported by SB - supports direct stream to SB S - Supported with a plugin like Alien, SqueezeServer needs to be running X - Not supported I'm not suggesting my answers are correct, it is just an example. There are also other compressions and protocols. I'm still learning so I'm not sure if RTP as a protocol without rtcp or rtsp running on top of it even makes sense.
