bordo, Just to add to your confusion - there are two versions of RTSP - RealNetworks version as used by RealAudio streams and proper RTSP as used by Apple and Live555.
For squeezentwork you need only be concerned with native formats. Squeezenetwork will not transcode any non native format. The FAQ give some info http://slimdevices.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/slimdevices.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=6059&p_created=1168637833&p_sid=TgYM4XWi&p_accessibility=0&p_redirect=&p_lva=&p_sp=cF9zcmNoPTEmcF9zb3J0X2J5PSZwX2dyaWRzb3J0PSZwX3Jvd19jbnQ9MjgsMjgmcF9wcm9kcz0wJnBfY2F0cz0mcF9wdj0mcF9jdj0mcF9wYWdlPTEmcF9zZWFyY2hfdGV4dD1mb3JtYXRz&p_li=&p_topview=1 It is a bit irrelevant to mark up compatibility of non native formats as any other format can be supported quite easily as long as there is a 3rd party apps which can transcode to a WAV stream. Applications such as mplayer (which is currently used for RealAudio, AACplus), faad, ffmpeg and VLC. Other 3rd party apps enable use of real devices such as Tuner cards, DAB receivers and streaming CDs. -- bpa ------------------------------------------------------------------------ bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=42598 _______________________________________________ squeezenetwork mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/squeezenetwork
