As of 11:13 am PST on Thursday February 28th, service on SqueezeNetwork
was back to normal. The outage didn't go quite as planned, but you can
now use SqueezeNetwork just as you did before. Everything should be
back to normal, but as with anything of this scale only time will
tell.

WHAT'S NEW

The plan was to move the SqueezeNetwork service from our current single
rack to 3 geographically separated racks. SqueezeNetwork is now running
from the rack in Washington DC, and we will be turning on the Silicon
Valley and Germany racks over the next few weeks.

In this configuration, player-to-SqueezeNetwork performance should be
improved for Europe, and slightly slower for Asian-based players. Once
the remaining servers are turned on, performance should be better for
everyone since the new racks are almost directly attached to the
worldwide Internet backbone.

PLAYERS NOW MOVED TO NEW www.squeezenetwork.com

We moved the entire database of players to the new servers. You should
be able to connect to SqueezeNetwork as you always have. However,
there's a small chance that your preferences or your player was omitted
from the database. If so, please re-register your player and your
settings. If you were using www.beta.squeezenetwork.com, then you will
have to re-register your player(s) again. This includes everyone on the
Jive Hardware Platform beta program.

I appreciate your patience during this change!

Don't hesitate to post your observations -- good or bad -- on the
forums.
