I don't expect them to spend one minute developing anything for the iphone. However, I do expect the squeezenetwork interface to work with any computer. And at the moment the new interface doesn't. As posted in a separate thread, the favorites (I have over one hundred) are OUTSIDE the main box for them and they DON'T scroll inside. In addition, I see where I can sign up for lastfm but after I did so, there is no lastfm to play. Another problem: I would like podcasts to PLAY from the interface, they don't at the moment, you have to use the remote control instead. I would also like to see the individual episodes of the podcasts, which you can't on the interface, only on the squeezebox itself. I am sure others have their own gripes with the "NEW" web interface. And I am talking about not working right on a real computer. BUT....if it works right on a real computer, it will also work right on my ipod Touch, no extra development needed. The Safari browser from Apple is great, when the html is properly coded. Bottomline: the html of the "NEW" interface doesn't seem to conform with modern standards, hence the problems. And let me add while on this soapbox, that I, like I think a LOT of users, don't even use squeezecenter or its ancestors. We are very happy to have thousands of radio stations available on the web through the squeezebox. Now with slacker, there are a lot more. We don't want to turn on a computer, we don't want to keep our own collection of music when it is so easy to just listen to the net's resources. So with all the development going on, don't develop for the iphone but at least develop the web interface for squeezenetwork so that it WORKS from a computer. -- mortslim ------------------------------------------------------------------------ mortslim's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=11039 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=44083 _______________________________________________ squeezenetwork mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/squeezenetwork
