I noticed some of the pauses you're talking about recently. This is unusual. As far as I know, the limitation on the free account are: a specific number of tracks (I forget the number) that one can skip per hour, some "Slacker" commercial interruptions and "maybe" (again I can't remember) the bitrate of the stream is lower in the free accounts.
