I'm a little late to the show here. I just stumbled upon Wolfgang's Vault via a wiki of Derek and the Dominoes that I was reading. Wow, there is some REALLY cools stuff archived here that you can listen to for free! Right now I'm listening to Jeff Beck from '75. Wow!
It would be awesome if access could be given through the SB. There is some stuff of interest in the Live Music Archive that you can access today, but there is some really classic stuff here at Wolfgang's. Somebody earlier in the thread mentioned that they would lose advertising. True - but it isn't like they would lose advertising dollars - the only advertising I see is for their site. And it seems that the artists are paid via ASCAP, BMI, etc. It seems to me that the exposure could be greatly expanded by allowing something like the Squeezebox to play these streams. -- maggior Rich --------- Setup: 2 SB3s, 1 duet, 1 receiver.
